I have been teaching school for about 15 years. My favorite people to teach are 5 and 6 year olds! I have been at Due West for 5 years. My husband teaches at Harrison. We have 4 children, a dog, and a very mean cat. When I am not at school, I love to go to the beach, read, or remodel my house.

ABOUT MRS. FAIRCLOTH
Hello Everyone! I'm Kimber Faircloth and this is my family (minus the photo bomber "Jenny the donkey"). I have been married to Alan for 19 years and I'm the mother of 2 great kids; Mason (16) is a junior at Harrison High School and Langley (13) is in 8th grade at Lost Mountain Middle School. I am a certified teacher who taught in Cobb County for 4 years before being blessed to stay home with my kids. Both of my kids were students at DWE, so I've been around awhile! :-) I LOVE Due West and I love to teach kids! I am so blessed to have the opportunity to touch the lives of students at DWE and I am excited to get to know your student!
My Philosophy
I believe in a love of learning first! So you will see exploring through play as well as a strong phonics curriculum. I have been trained in the Orton-Gillingham approach and have seen it work with great success in building confident readers! There are so many patterns in our words you would be amazed at what you didn't know you know about spelling! I love to watch 5 year old make those connections.
